Good news for Bahamian Sharks?

Two happy faces: Dr. Samuel Gruber ("Doc") and a Bahamian tiger shark.

Commercial shark fishing in the Bahamas may be banned - this would be a huge win for the sharks in an area that is considered a paradise for them.

The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) and the Pew Environmental Group's (PEG) are behind the campaign to get the Government to enact legislation banning commercial fishing of sharks in the Bahamas with the support of several others.

Patric Douglas is "ONE"

A while back, the people over at Shark Diver started a self-sufficent program that benefits sharks and helps marinas become greener - the concept is simple and has been implemented by various marinas in The Bahamas.

The program can be implemented anywhere there are sharks and marinas...help spread the word.

I applaud Patric's work and foward thinking in developing this.
